We are recruiting a Nursing Home Manager / Registered Home Manager for a confidential opportunity advertised in the Rothwell area, south of Leeds. This 50-bed service offers a strong foundation: very low staff turnover, an established team and a strong clinical deputy working supernumerary.

With just two care vacancies over the last five months, this is an opportunity to build on continuity and established relationships—not start again with an entirely new team.

Your role as Nursing Home Manager

As Registered Home Manager, you will provide visible leadership across nursing, care and support teams. You will protect the home’s strengths while setting clear priorities for continuous improvement.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Leading safe, compassionate and person-centred nursing and dementia care.
• Building on the home’s Good CQC rating, developing evidence-led improvements towards Outstanding.
• Maintaining robust clinical governance, including audits, safeguarding, medication management and incident learning.
• Working closely with your clinical Deputy Manager to maintain high standards and develop nursing practice.
• Supporting, retaining and developing the team through clear expectations, coaching and accountability.
• Building trusted relationships with residents, relatives, commissioners and healthcare professionals.
• Managing staffing, budgets and resources responsibly.
• Supporting occupancy through strong local relationships and a positive reputation for care.

About you

We are looking for a Registered Nurse with experience managing a nursing home, combining confident clinical leadership with sound commercial judgement.

You will bring:

• A current NMC registration as a Registered Nurse.
• A successful track record as a Nursing Home Manager, Registered Home Manager or Care Home Manager within a nursing setting.
• Strong knowledge of CQC regulations, clinical governance and safeguarding.
• Evidence of achieving or sustaining Good or Outstanding care standards.
• Experience leading teams, improving quality and managing home performance.
• An approachable, visible leadership style and a genuine commitment to residents’ wellbeing.
