This is a rare opportunity to join a super stable Youth Justice Service for an Ofsted rated Good council on the South Coast of England. These roles have not been available for over a decade – a testament to the stability, satisfaction, and support within this service.

  The role: 

As Team Manager, you will lead a skilled and passionate multi-disciplinary team delivering high-quality youth justice interventions. You will oversee risk management, ensure safeguarding is prioritised, and drive service improvement in a complex and high-risk environment. You will be part of a well-resourced Vulnerable Adolescent Service, working alongside Police, Probation, substance misuse services, and a University’s Risk Outside the Home programme.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leading and supervising a passionate multi-agency team
  • Overseeing complex risk and safeguarding processes
  • Driving innovation and continuous service improvement
  • Representing the service at strategic and multi-agency forums
  • Ensuring compliance with youth justice standards and frameworks

 

Experience: 

  • Experience in youth justice, social work, probation, or working with vulnerable adolescents
  • Confidence in leading or supervising staff
  • Strong safeguarding and risk management background 
  • A collaborative, resilient, and child-first leadership style

As this is a statutory role, you do require a social work qualification & registration to Social Work England.
