Leaders in Care is recruiting a Children in Care Social Worker for a children’s service in Berkshire. Joining its dedicated 0–18 team, you’ll support children whose plans involve adoption or long-term care, putting their wishes and feelings at the centre of your practice.

• £44,873–£50,238, including local weighting and market supplement.
• Hybrid working, with a minimum of three office days per week.
• 26 days’ annual leave plus bank holidays, increasing to 33 days after five years.
• £1,000 retention payment after 18 months, subject to eligibility.

Your role

You’ll deliver care planning and safeguarding support, building meaningful relationships with children, carers and partner agencies to help secure stable, positive futures.

There are also opportunities to support unaccompanied asylum-seeking children and develop your age-assessment skills.

What you’ll need

• A recognised social work qualification.
• Current Social Work England registration.
• Relevant children’s social care experience.
• A child-centred approach to safeguarding and permanence planning.
