We’re partnering with a leading independent mental health provider to recruit an Independent Hospital Manager for a secure rehabilitation service supporting adults with complex mental health needs.

This is a unique opportunity to play a critical governance and oversight role, ensuring patient rights, safety, and quality of care remain at the heart of service delivery.

About the Service

You’ll be supporting a specialist inpatient setting providing:

  • Locked rehabilitation services
  • Support for severe and enduring mental health conditions
  • Neuropsychiatry and dementia care
  • Recovery-focused, community reintegration pathways

Your Role

As an Independent Hospital Manager, you’ll act as a key decision-maker and safeguard within the service, contributing to:
 
  • Hospital Managers’ Hearings under the Mental Health Act
  • Review of detention and section papers
  • Participation in quarterly governance meetings
  • Engagement with service users on wards to understand patient experience
  • Oversight of care standards, rights, and legal compliance

What We’re Looking For
 
  • Degree-level education (or equivalent) in a relevant field
  • Background in mental health, social work, AMHP, or legal sectors
  • Strong understanding of Mental Health Act processes
  • Excellent decision-making, independence, and professional judgement
  • Ability to manage sensitive information with integrity and discretion
