We’re partnering with a leading independent mental health provider to recruit an Independent Hospital Manager for a secure rehabilitation service supporting adults with complex mental health needs.

This is a unique opportunity to play a critical governance and oversight role, ensuring patient rights, safety, and quality of care remain at the heart of service delivery.

About the Service

You’ll be supporting a specialist inpatient setting providing:

Locked rehabilitation services
Support for severe and enduring mental health conditions
Neuropsychiatry and dementia care
Recovery-focused, community reintegration pathways

Your Role

As an Independent Hospital Manager, you’ll act as a key decision-maker and safeguard within the service, contributing to:

Hospital Managers’ Hearings under the Mental Health Act
Review of detention and section papers
Participation in quarterly governance meetings
Engagement with service users on wards to understand patient experience
Oversight of care standards, rights, and legal compliance

What We’re Looking For

Degree-level education (or equivalent) in a relevant field
Background in mental health, social work, AMHP, or legal sectors
Strong understanding of Mental Health Act processes
Excellent decision-making, independence, and professional judgement
Ability to manage sensitive information with integrity and discretion
