Helping families stay together safely and thrive within their communities is at the heart of this Senior Social Worker opportunity. This role offers the chance to join a developing Family Help service where your experience as a Senior Practitioner, Child Protection Social Worker or Children’s Social Worker will directly shape outcomes for children and families.

You’ll be part of a reflective and collaborative service that values relationship-based practice, professional curiosity and early intervention. Alongside strong management support, this Senior Social Worker role offers the opportunity to influence service improvement while continuing to develop your own practice within a stable permanent team.

Package & Benefits

• Salary of £47,181 to £51,356 per annum.

About the Company

This children’s service is committed to compassionate, trauma-informed practice and long-term relationship building with families. The service works within local Family Hubs alongside health and community partners, creating a collaborative environment where children, young people and families remain at the centre of decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

• Support children and families through Child in Need, Child Protection and care proceedings work.
• Provide guidance and practice support to colleagues within the Family Help team.
• Build effective multi-agency relationships with health, education and safeguarding partners.
• Deliver relational and evidence-based interventions that promote safety, permanence and positive outcomes.

About You

• Qualified Social Worker registered with Social Work England.
• Significant experience within statutory children’s social work including safeguarding and looked after children.
• Experience managing complex caseloads within a Children’s Social Worker or Senior Practitioner role.
