As a Children Homes Manager, you will:

 

• Lead the home in accordance with organisational values and safeguarding policies.
• Supervise and support staff to provide consistent, trauma-informed care.
• Foster a positive, child-centred culture within the home.
• Oversee care planning and reviews, ensuring the young person's needs are met.
• Train, induct, and support staff in line with best practices.
• Act as the Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) for the home.
• Ensure compliance with Ofsted and relevant regulations.
• Maintain accurate records, including risk assessments and care plans.
• Prepare for and lead Ofsted inspections and external audits.

The ideal candidate for the Children Homes Manager role will have:

 

• A Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or willingness to complete).
• At least 2 years’ experience in a residential setting with children.
• Proven leadership or management experience.
• A strong understanding of safeguarding, child development, and trauma-informed care.
• Excellent communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
