If you are an experienced Occupational Therapist – Mental Health (Recovery & Rehabilitation Focus) looking to shape a service rather than inherit one, this role offers a rare opportunity to influence how recovery-focused occupational therapy is delivered from the outset. You will have the time, space, and authority to embed meaningful, outcomes-led practice with adults experiencing complex mental health needs.

This is a clinically credible role with genuine autonomy. You will work within a fully integrated multidisciplinary team, contributing directly to the therapeutic model while developing occupational therapy provision that supports independence, functional living, and community reintegration.

Package & Benefits

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver recovery-focused occupational therapy assessments and interventions for adults with complex mental health needs.
  • Design and implement personalised rehabilitation programmes that promote independence and quality of life.
  • Contribute clinical expertise to the development of the service’s therapeutic model and outcomes framework.

About You
  • HCPC-registered Occupational Therapist.
  • Experience working in adult mental health recovery or rehabilitation services.
  • Experience contributing to multidisciplinary team working within a mental health setting.
