Making a real difference to adults with complex needs can be deeply rewarding. As a Lead Psychologist, you will use your expertise to shape psychological care for people with learning disabilities and autism, delivering high quality assessments and evidence based interventions that directly improve quality of life. This role would also suit an experienced Clinical Psychologist or registered Practitioner Psychologist looking to lead psychologically informed care within a specialist service.
As a Lead Psychologist, you will work closely with a multidisciplinary team, supporting individuals with complex presentations while influencing therapeutic practice across the wider service. The role offers strong professional autonomy, opportunities to shape clinical practice, and access to ongoing training and development.
About the Company
You will be joining a well established healthcare provider delivering specialist services for adults with learning disabilities, autism, and complex mental health needs. The organisation focuses on providing structured, supportive environments where individuals can develop independence while receiving high quality, person centred care from experienced multidisciplinary teams.
Key Responsibilities
• Deliver specialist psychological assessments, formulations, and therapeutic interventions for individuals with complex needs.
• Lead individual and group interventions while managing a clinical caseload within a specialist service.
• Contribute to multidisciplinary team working, risk assessment, and psychologically informed care planning.
• Facilitate reflective practice sessions and deliver training to support staff development.
About You
• HCPC registered Lead Psychologist, Clinical Psychologist, or Practitioner Psychologist with BPS recognised psychology qualifications.
• Experience delivering psychological interventions within learning disabilities or autism services.
• Experience assessing complex presentations and working with individuals with cognitive impairments.
