IRO Team Manager - Children’s Services | Offshore | £56.50/h + travel expenses (outside IR35) | key worker accom available

We are looking for an Independent Reviewing Officer Team Manager to join a children’s services team on the Channel Islands. If you are unfamiliar with the channel islands, they are the gem of the British Isles, getting all the best of the British weather, whilst further benefiting from being outside IR35

As an IRO Team Manager you will lead, manage and deliver an Independent Safeguarding Service to children and their families who are required by legislation to comply with intervention, assessment and support, to ensure effective service provision and statutory compliance. 

You will do this by managing the development, implementation and maintenance of specific plans, policies and procedures within the area of Safeguarding, Standards and Quality for the provision of effective and efficient services, ensuring that they comply with departmental business plans and budget and are aligned to strategic plans and policies and legislative requirements, in order to improve the outcomes for children.

Due to the management responsibilities in this role you will be expected to be on the island from Monday-Friday, but the council will help you by providing you with key worker accom for the duration of your time on the island. It also has its own tax legislation, meaning the role falls outside IR35.

As this is a statutory role, you do require a social work qualification & registration to Social Work England.
