The Role

As a Deputy Home Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the Home Manager to deliver exceptional care standards and ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the service. You’ll help create a safe, welcoming, and person-centred environment where residents can thrive, while also leading and motivating a dedicated care team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the overall management of the home, ensuring high standards of care and compliance
  • Assist with admissions and build strong relationships with residents, families, and professionals
  • Promote independence, dignity, and wellbeing for all residents
  • Oversee care delivery, staffing, and daily operations
  • Lead, support, and develop the team, deputising for the Home Manager when required
  • Maintain strong links with external stakeholders and regulatory bodies

Requirements for Deputy Home Manager 

  • Registered Nurse (RGN or RMN) with a valid PIN
  • Experience working as a Deputy Home Manager or in a similar leadership role within elderly care services
  • Strong knowledge of care standards and regulatory requirements
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills
  • Level 5 Health & Social Care qualification (desirable)
