As a Community Nurse, you will provide high-quality, home-based care to patients undergoing Peritoneal Dialysis (PD), including both adults and children. You’ll play a key role in ensuring safe, effective treatment in the community.
Key Responsibilities:
Support patients with Automated and Manual Peritoneal Dialysis
Connect and disconnect PD machines during home visits
Administer IV medications and monitor patient observations (e.g., blood pressure, weight)
Perform catheter site care and dressing changes
Maintain a clean and safe environment, manage stock and waste
Communicate with hospital PD units when clinical advice or intervention is needed
Provide care to both adult and paediatric patients in their own homes
To be considered for this role, you must have:
Valid NMC registration as a Registered General Nurse or Children’s Nurse
Minimum 2 years’ post-registration experience
Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across Essex
Right to work in the UK (no sponsorship available)
Previous community experience is desirable but not essential
Annual salary of £36,000
£4,800 car allowance plus paid mileage
