We’re excited to offer an excellent opportunity for a Social Work Team Manager to join a forward-thinking and supportive local authority in Argyll & Bute.

This is a role with genuine impact-leading a team of Social Work professionals, overseeing complex cases, and shaping the delivery of high-quality services across the region.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Lead, nurture, and manage a Social Work team, providing supervision, support, and professional development.

  • Ensure compliance with SSSC codes, legislative requirements, and local policies.

  • Oversee complex case management, safeguarding, and risk assessment processes.

  • Participate in strategic planning, service development, and multi-agency collaboration.

  • Manage budgets, monitor expenditure, and contribute to the team’s operational efficiency.

Requirements:

 

  • Qualified Social Worker with current SSSC registration.
  • Minimum 4 years’ qualified experience and proven supervisory/management experience.

  • Strong understanding of social work practice, safeguarding, and risk management.

  • Full driving licence and PVG membership for work with protected adults and children.

  • Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to support, motivate, and develop staff.
