Are you a passionate, experienced Social Worker driven to make a lasting difference in the lives of vulnerable young people? An exciting opportunity has arisen within a specialist Adolescent Team in South West London—a team committed to trauma-informed, relationship-based practice aimed at protecting adolescents from extra-familial harm.

In this specialist statutory role, you’ll manage a lower-than-average caseload (8–10 young people) to allow for intensive, targeted intervention. You will be responsible for the full range of statutory social work tasks from initial assessments to Child in Need (CIN), Child Protection (CP), and Children Looked After (CLA) planning.

Your focus will be on building meaningful relationships and co-creating safety plans with young people, families, friends, and professional networks. Your goal: to disrupt harm and enhance safety across different settings—home, school, community, and online.

Working within a trauma-informed, anti-racist, and anti-discriminatory framework, you will engage young people with empathy, reliability, and persistence.

What You’ll Need:

• Qualified Social Worker registered with Social Work England
• Experience in statutory children's services
• Strong assessment, planning, and risk management skills
• Knowledge of trauma-informed and anti-oppressive practice
• Understanding of contextual safeguarding and multi-agency collaboration
• Ability to engage adolescents with empathy and persistence
