Safeguarding Social Worker | £42 P/H + Accommodation Paid | Outstanding Local Authority | Long-Term Contract | South Coast

Looking for a long-term safeguarding contract where you can focus on quality practice without unmanageable caseloads?

We're working with an Outstanding Local Authority on the South Coast that is looking to appoint an experienced Safeguarding Social Worker to join its well-established team. This is an excellent opportunity to secure a long-term contract offering £42 per hour, accommodation paid, flexible hybrid working, and a supportive management team committed to high-quality practice.

Court work is fully integrated into the safeguarding team, allowing you to build relationships with children and families throughout the life of the case rather than handing matters over to a separate court service.

What's on Offer

  • £42 per hour
  • Accommodation paid
  • Long-term contract with excellent stability
  • Capped safeguarding caseload
  • Flexible hybrid working
  • Court work included within the safeguarding team
  • Supportive, experienced management team
  • Leaders in Care Loyalty Bonus Scheme
  • Weekly payroll
  • The Role

As part of the Safeguarding Team, you will:

  • Manage a varied safeguarding caseload, including Child in Need, Child Protection and Care Proceedings.
  • Complete high-quality assessments, court statements and care plans.
  • Undertake statutory visits and interventions to safeguard children.
  • Work closely with families, legal professionals and partner agencies to achieve positive outcomes.
  • Prepare and present evidence during care proceedings where required.
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure statutory timescales are consistently met.
  • About the Service

You'll be joining a highly regarded Children's Service recognised for delivering outstanding safeguarding practice. Managers are approachable, experienced and committed to providing reflective supervision, realistic workloads and the autonomy for social workers to make confident professional decisions.

    About You

    To be considered, you'll need:

  • Current Social Work England registration.
  • Recent Local Authority safeguarding experience.
  • Experience undertaking court work and care proceedings.
  • Strong assessment, analytical and risk management skills.
  • A commitment to achieving the best outcomes for children and families.
  • Interested?

If you're considering your next locum opportunity and would like to find out more, I'd be happy to have a confidential conversation.
