Mental Health Nurse (RMN)

South Wales | Up to £46,482 DOE | Full Time

I'm recruiting for an RMN to join a specialist neuropsychiatric rehabilitation service supporting adults with complex mental health conditions, acquired brain injuries and neurological disorders. You'll play a key role in helping patients regain independence while working alongside an experienced multidisciplinary team in a highly supportive clinical environment.

The Role

As a Mental Health Nurse, you'll provide specialist nursing care to adults with complex neuropsychiatric and neurological conditions, supporting patients throughout their rehabilitation journey while promoting independence, recovery and the highest standards of clinical care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver safe, evidence-based nursing care to patients with complex needs
  • Assess, plan, implement and evaluate individualised care plans
  • Administer medication safely in line with NMC guidelines
  • Monitor patients' physical and mental wellbeing, responding appropriately to changing clinical needs
  • Work collaboratively with psychiatrists, psychologists, occupational therapists, physiotherapists and the wider MDT
  • Complete accurate clinical documentation and risk assessments
  • Promote recovery-focused care that maximises independence and quality of life
  • Support patients, families and carers throughout the rehabilitation process
  • Maintain high standards of safeguarding, infection prevention and clinical governance

About You

  • Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) with active NMC registration
  • Passionate about delivering outstanding patient care
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • Experience within mental health, neurorehabilitation, acquired brain injury or complex care is desirable, although not essential
  • Committed to continuous professional development and delivering high-quality clinical care
