Are you an experienced Healthcare Operations Lead who can keep a busy service running smoothly while driving performance and improvement?

We are working with a leading digital healthcare provider to recruit an Operations Lead for their Cancer Support and Screening service. This is an initial 6 month contract offering the chance to take real ownership of service delivery, support a high-performing team and drive operational improvement during a period of growth and change.

This role would suit someone with strong healthcare operations experience who enjoys improving processes, managing teams and making sure patients receive a safe, efficient and well-coordinated service.

The Role

You will oversee the day-to-day running of the service, working closely with clinical and leadership teams to keep operations on track and service standards high.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading day-to-day service delivery across Cancer Support and Screening
  • Supporting and managing the Cancer Support Manager team
  • Overseeing patient pathways and caseload flow
  • Managing staffing, rotas and service capacity
  • Monitoring KPIs, SLAs and operational performance
  • Supporting screening workflows and external partner coordination
  • Producing clear reports and updates for senior stakeholders
  • Spotting risks, resolving issues and driving improvements

What We’re Looking For:

  • Experience in healthcare operations, service delivery or team leadership
  • Strong understanding of patient pathways and service coordination
  • Confident managing KPIs, performance and workflow standards
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Able to work under pressure and juggle competing priorities

What’s on Offer?

  • Interim 6 month contract with strong potential for extension
  • Hybrid working - 3 days from home and 2 days from Head Office
  • Salary up to £50,000p/a depending on experience
  • 25 days holiday plus bank holidays
  • Birthday off as paid leave
  • Contributory pension scheme
  • Life assurance
  • Company sick pay

This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to step into a hands-on operational role and help shape the delivery of a service that genuinely matters.

If you are an experienced healthcare operations professional and available for your next interim move, we would love to hear from you.
