Community Chemotherapy Nurse
South East London | Up to £58,000 DOE + London Weighting + Company Car or £4,887 Car Allowance | Monday-Friday | No Nights

Looking for a Chemotherapy Nurse role with more autonomy, better work-life balance and the time to deliver genuinely personalised cancer care?

I’m recruiting for one of the UK’s leading specialist healthcare providers, looking for an experienced Chemotherapy Nurse / SACT Nurse to deliver oncology and haematology treatments to patients in their own homes across South East London.

This is an excellent opportunity to step away from the pressures of a busy hospital environment while continuing to use your specialist oncology skills with greater independence, one-to-one patient care and no night shifts.

What’s on Offer?

  • Salary up to £58,000 DOE + London Weighting
  • Company car or £4,887 car allowance
  • Monday-Friday working
  • No night shifts
  • Paid NMC registration
  • Private medical insurance
  • Company pension
  • Life assurance
  • Structured induction and ongoing clinical training
  • Excellent clinical governance and MDT support

The Role

You’ll manage your own caseload across South East London, delivering specialist cancer treatments directly within patients’ homes.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Delivering SACT and chemotherapy safely in the community
  • Completing clinical assessments prior to treatment
  • Administering cytotoxic therapies in line with national guidelines
  • Cannulation, venepuncture and vascular access management
  • Monitoring patients and managing adverse reactions appropriately
  • Providing education and support to patients and their families
  • Maintaining accurate electronic clinical records
  • Liaising with consultants, hospitals and wider MDTs to ensure continuity of care

About You

You’ll need:

  • Active NMC registration as an Adult Nurse / RGN
  • Previous Chemotherapy / SACT experience
  • Competency in the administration of cytotoxic drugs
  • Strong cannulation and venous access skills
  • Confident clinical assessment and communication skills
  • Full UK driving licence

Why Make the Move into Community Oncology?

You’ll still be delivering specialist cancer treatment - just in a completely different environment.

Instead of moving between patients on a busy unit, you’ll provide dedicated one-to-one care in patients’ homes, manage your own diary and build stronger relationships throughout their treatment journey.

For experienced oncology nurses looking for more autonomy, meaningful patient contact and a better Monday-Friday work-life balance, it’s a fantastic next step.

If you’re a Chemotherapy Nurse, Community Chemotherapy Nurse, Oncology Nurse, SACT Nurse, Cancer Nurse or Haematology Nurse, I’d love to speak with you.
