At Leaders in Care, we’re proud to work with consultants who deliver exceptional results across specialist areas of healthcare. One of those is Stephen Clegg, our Managing Consultant for Non-clinical and Corporate Recruitment, who has been making a real impact behind the scenes, supporting providers with expert hires, building long-term partnerships, and strengthening services across the corporate healthcare space.
Below, Stephen reflects on some standout moments from the past few months and shares his perspective on a fast-evolving recruitment landscape.
Delivering Results in Corporate Healthcare Recruitment
-
The past few months have been incredibly rewarding as I’ve continued to grow our corporate and non-clinical division here at Leaders in Care. From placing senior leaders into pivotal roles to deepening long-standing client relationships, it’s been a period of real momentum - and one I’m proud to reflect on.
-
One recent highlight was placing a Senior Finance professional with one of our core healthcare clients. The role had previously proven difficult to fill, but by collaborating closely with their leadership team and applying my finance recruitment experience, we secured a candidate who was both technically strong and culturally aligned, bringing real momentum and stability to the business.

Another proud moment came from placing a senior-level candidate with a client I personally introduced to Leaders in Care. That client is now one of our largest partners, and being trusted with such a key appointment laid the foundations for what’s become a fantastic long-term relationship.
Building Meaningful Partnerships
Whether it’s a senior commercial hire or a junior operations role, my approach is always to take the time to understand the client’s priorities, the purpose of the role, and the kind of person who will truly add value. From operations managers and HR business partners to finance controllers and executive assistants, we work across a wide range of functions that are essential to a provider’s success.
I’m fortunate to work with forward-thinking providers who recognise the importance of aligning recruitment strategy with long-term business goals, particularly in a sector as fast-evolving and complex as healthcare.
At the same time, there’s been a notable increase in demand for skilled professionals across finance, HR, compliance, and business development. Roles like payroll managers, marketing leads, bid writers and governance officers are becoming critical hires as organisations focus on sustainability and scale.
It’s encouraging to see providers taking a proactive approach to strengthening their corporate functions and investing in scalable infrastructure that can support both quality and growth.
Working at Leaders in Care
As I look ahead, I’m excited to continue building strategic relationships across the corporate healthcare space - supporting clients with hires that drive long-term value, and helping candidates take meaningful steps forward in their careers.
One of the most rewarding parts of working at Leaders in Care is the trust and autonomy we’re given to do exactly that. There’s a strong culture of ownership and accountability, as well as genuine collaboration and support at every level - from leadership to operations to the wider team.
You’re empowered to own your market, shape your strategy, and deliver results in a way that feels authentic and impactful. Whether it’s sharing insight, tackling challenges, or celebrating wins, there’s a shared commitment to doing things properly - and to making a real difference in the sector.
I’m looking forward to expanding the corporate division, welcoming new consultants into the team, and continuing to raise the bar for both our clients and candidates.
