The Opportunity We are currently recruiting for a Senior Safeguarding Nurse (MASH) to join a high-performing Integrated Care Board, working within the Children’s Social Care Front Door.
This role sits at the heart of a multi-agency safeguarding hub (MASH), where you will provide the health perspective within statutory safeguarding decision-making, working alongside social care, police, education and partner agencies.
This is a fast-paced, decision-making environment requiring strong safeguarding expertise, the ability to interpret complex information, and confidence to contribute to real-time safeguarding outcomes for children aged 0-18.

The Role As the Senior Safeguarding Nurse (MASH), you will act as the health safeguarding lead within the Children’s Social Care Front Door, ensuring health information is effectively gathered, analysed and used to support safeguarding decisions.
You will be responsible for:
Acting as the health representative within MASH, contributing to statutory safeguarding decision making
Analysing and interpreting safeguarding information from health professionals, schools, police and partner agencies
Gathering and collating health information from multiple providers to inform safeguarding assessments
Providing specialist safeguarding advice across multi-agency discussions and strategy meetings
Supporting referral outcomes and ensuring children are appropriately safeguarded at the earliest stage
Contributing to safeguarding reports, case discussions and multi-agency meetings
Supporting quality assurance, service improvement and safeguarding processes
Advising professionals on safeguarding policies, procedures and best practice
What We’re Looking For We are looking for a Senior Safeguarding Nurse with strong experience in safeguarding and multi-agency working.
You will have:
Registered clinician status (NMC or relevant professional body)
Significant experience in safeguarding children within a multi-agency environment
Strong understanding of Children’s Social Care referral pathways and MASH processes
Experience interpreting complex safeguarding information and influencing outcomes
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
Experience contributing to safeguarding assessments, reports and strategy discussions
