Community Chemotherapy Nurse – Aberdeenshire
£43,700 per annum plus car | Monday–Friday, 9am–5pm | Permanent

Are you an experienced chemotherapy nurse with a current SACT passport who’s looking for a better work–life balance without stepping away from high-quality clinical care? This permanent Community Chemotherapy Nurse role offers the opportunity to deliver specialist oncology treatments to patients in their own homes across Aberdeenshire — with no shift work and no weekends.

This position is ideal for nurses with strong chemotherapy experience who are interested in moving into community nursing. Previous community experience isn’t essential; you’ll be supported to make the transition while developing autonomy, managing your own caseload, and building meaningful relationships with patients.

What’s on Offer
  • Salary: £43,700 per year
  • Company car, or car allowance of £4800
  • Contract: Permanent, full-time
  • Hours: Monday to Friday, 9am–5pm
  • Work–life balance: No evenings, weekends, or bank holidays
  • Location: Community-based role covering Aberdeenshire, with mileage paid
About the Service

  • Carry out blood sampling, toxicity assessments, and ongoing clinical monitoring
  • Administer IV and oral chemotherapy, manage pump disconnections, and maintain venous access devices
  • Deliver IM and subcutaneous injections in line with clinical guidelines
About You
  • Registered Nurse with a valid NMC pin
  • Background in oncology, haematology, or chemotherapy nursing with a current SACT passport
  • Confident in cannulation and venepuncture
  • Full UK driving licence
If you’re thinking about taking your oncology nursing career into the community — even if this would be your first community-based role — we’d be happy to discuss the opportunity with you.
