Clinical Deputy Manager

We are recruiting for a Clinical Deputy Manager to join a well-established, purpose-built nursing home in Port Glasgow, offering up to £52,000 per year, excellent training opportunities and genuine career progression.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a supportive care provider committed to delivering high-quality, person-centred care. Working alongside the Home Manager, you will combine hands-on nursing responsibilities with clinical leadership, staff development and the day-to-day management of the service.

The Role

As Clinical Deputy Manager, you will:

• Support the Home Manager with the clinical and operational management of the home.

• Provide strong clinical leadership to Registered Nurses, Senior Carers and care teams.

• Oversee care planning, medication management, risk assessments and clinical documentation.

• Lead clinical audits, quality assurance and continuous improvement initiatives.

• Ensure the home maintains high standards in line with Care Inspectorate requirements and best practice.

• Support recruitment, supervision, training and performance management of clinical staff.

• Conduct pre-admission assessments and work closely with residents, families and healthcare professionals.

• Participate in clinical shifts and the management on-call rota.

About You

To be considered for this position, you will need:

• Active NMC registration as a Registered General Nurse (RGN).

• Previous experience in a senior nursing position, ideally within a nursing home.

• Strong knowledge of clinical governance, safeguarding and medication management.

• Experience leading, motivating and developing nursing and care teams.

• Excellent communication, organisational and decision-making skills.

• A genuine commitment to delivering outstanding, person-centred care.
