Are you an experienced Children's Social Worker looking for a long-term Children in Care (LAC) opportunity within a supportive and well-established service?

    You will be joining a highly regarded Children in Care service with a strong focus on achieving the best possible outcomes for children and young people. The team benefits from experienced leadership, established processes, and a commitment to ensuring Social Workers have manageable workloads and the support needed to build meaningful relationships with young people.

    Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a caseload of Children in Care
  • Undertake statutory visits and reviews
  • Develop and review care plans to ensure positive outcomes
  • Work closely with foster carers, residential providers, and partner agencies
  • Support permanence planning, including long-term fostering, special guardianship, and adoption where appropriate
  • Prepare high-quality reports for reviews and court proceedings when required
  • Build strong relationships with children and young people to ensure their voices are central to planning
  • About You
  • Qualified Social Worker
  • Registered with Social Work England
  • Recent experience within a Children in Care, Looked After Children, or Permanence Team
  • Strong care planning and relationship-based practice skills
  • Ability to work effectively with children, families, and partner agencies
