As a Paediatric Site Practitioner, you’ll:

• Provide visible clinical presence and act as a role model and expert practitioner.
• Support the assessment and management of acutely unwell and deteriorating paediatric patients.
• Co-ordinate resources and work closely with on-site Duty Managers.
• Be involved in the PICU step-down process and support bed allocation.
• Participate in the Clinical Emergency Team and Paediatric Hospital at Night Team.
• Ensure timely and appropriate responses to patient needs out of hours.

To be considered for the Paediatric Site Practitioner role, you should have:

• NMC RN Child registration.
• Experience in HDU/Critical Care.
• Paediatric Physical Assessment Skills.
• Current APLS/EPALS provider certification.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure.
• Evidence of CPD, such as a Professional Portfolio.
