As a Mental Health Nurse, your responsibilities will include:
- Providing high-quality care in a 10-bedded female psychiatric intensive care unit (PICU) or acute ward.
- Working 12-hour shifts, with a mixture of days and nights.
- Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team (MDT) to ensure patient-centred care.
- Developing and delivering effective care plans.
- Participating in a preceptorship programme for newly qualified nurses.
The ideal candidate for the Mental Health Nurse role should have:
- Active NMC PIN registration as a Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) or Registered Learning Disability Nurse (RNLD).
- A strong desire to work within an acute service.
- Motivation, flexibility, and readiness to take on new challenges.
- Commitment to developing and delivering high-quality care.
- Effective decision-making skills or a willingness to develop them.
