Our client operates a private mental health hospital offering a range of specialist services, including mental illness, neurodevelopmental disorders, learning disabilities, and female medium secure services. They pride themselves on providing comprehensive support and development opportunities for their staff.

As a Consultant Psychiatrist, your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing a caseload of either 12 or 16 female patients, depending on your work schedule.
  • Providing psychiatric assessments, diagnosis, and treatment plans.
  • Working closely with non-medical prescribers and residential doctors.
  • Participating in multi-disciplinary team meetings.
  • Offering guidance and support to junior medical staff.
  • Ensuring compliance with clinical governance and regulatory requirements.

The ideal Consultant Psychiatrist will have:

  • GMC registration and MBBS (or equivalent) qualification.
  • Specialist registration (CCT/CESR) in Forensic Psychiatry, learning disability, or general psychiatry.
  • Experience working with women in a secure service.
